Both the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the tournament's governing body i.e. the International Cricket Council (ICC) have said that the dates and venues for the 13th edition will be announced 'in due course'. According to a report by InsideSport, its full schedule can be released after the end of the 16th season of IPL or before the final on 28 May.

BCCI official confirmed

A senior official of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) said, "Discussions are on with the ICC and we will announce the dates and venues soon." According to Indian media sources, this will not happen until the Indian Premier League (IPL) season ends on 28 May.

Possible launch from October 5

According to the information received now, this ICC tournament will start on October 5 and will run till November 19. The opening match is possible between England and New Zealand on October 5 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The final match can also be played on this ground on 19 November. India, New Zealand, England, Australia, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and South Africa have made it to the tournament so far.
